Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He was rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter and has since undergone FHO surgery to correct an untreated injury. Zac is now fully healed, requires no further medical intervention or medication, and is ready to find his forever home. He's described as a loyal companion with a perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back cuddles. Zac enjoys spending time with other dogs, is house-trained, crate-trained, and loves being near his people for relaxation and affection. He's also quite the conversationalist, especially when dinner is running late, and his vocal personality is sure to bring smiles. While he hasn't lived with young children, he's done well meeting new people and is becoming more comfortable in cars.
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He seems happiest when he has another dog around or his people nearby.
Ongoing Health
Zac has had FHO surgery on a back leg, which is now fully healed. He requires no ongoing medical care or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He has shown no signs of resource guarding. His foster believes he would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
