Meet Banks!

This determined seven-and-a-half-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix is a 38-pound bundle of merle-coated energy. Banks is a remarkable boy who proves that heart and spirit are more important than having four legs. He lost a rear leg due to an accident but has adapted incredibly, becoming a super-fast and agile tripod who loves to play fetch for hours. His favorite game is fetch, and he'll happily play for one to two hours daily, making his exercise needs a joy to meet.

Ideal Home

Banks needs a loving home with plenty of outdoor space. He would do best in a home without young children and requires dedicated caregivers who can match his energy and commitment to training. An experienced pet parent familiar with herding breeds or other working/agility dogs is ideal, as they will understand the drive, intelligence, and need for daily structure that helps him thrive.

Banks is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Banks is brilliantly trained and responds to commands like sit, down, stay, heel, place, come, fetch, leave it, crate, and good night. He's smart, food-motivated, and eager to please, excelling with positive reinforcement. While generally friendly with other dogs and welcoming toward adults, he would benefit from guidance with resource guarding tendencies around food. He can be uneasy with loud noises like vacuums, so calm leadership will help him feel secure.
