Vanna

Meet Vanna! She's an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Vanna is a playful, affectionate, and very devoted companion who loves to be close to her people. Once she bonds with you, she's happiest by your side, whether you're relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure. She has medium energy levels and would thrive in an active home. She loves playing fetch and going for walks, and she’s great in the car, making her a fun companion for outings. At home, she’s been trusted to free roam and isn’t destructive at all – she just wants to be near her favorite humans. Vanna is reserved with strangers at first but remains friendly and warms up with time. Like many dogs who’ve been through a lot, Vanna is still working through some challenges and has experienced significant trauma. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has so much potential to continue growing. She's a loyal, loving companion who just needs the right home.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home where she can be by your side. She can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) if there are no resources to guard or compete over. She is good with dog-savvy cats. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. She is still polishing up her potty training with the occasional accident.

Training & Support

Vanna has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people. She will need continued support with leash manners and ongoing training to help with negative behaviors around other dogs. She is crate trained.
