Meet Hachi!

Hachi is a resilient and loving 2-year-old, 50 lb bundle of joy who is ready to finally experience the life he always deserved. Rescued from a hoarding situation where he knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel, Hachi's spirit remained incredibly soft. He is a total love bug who greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit. Hachi adores people, is wonderful with kids, and has never met a stranger he didn't want to befriend. He truly treasures the simple things like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with his family. Despite his past, Hachi is remarkably resilient and has overcome his previous challenges with grace.

Ideal Home

Hachi is looking for a home where he is included, cherished, and loved. He enjoys adventures and car rides, but is just as happy to relax by your side. He can do well with other dogs, especially confident ones, and enjoys slow introductions to new canine friends.

Ongoing Health

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs, so he'll benefit from some extra treats and good nutrition.

Training & Support

Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. While he generally does well with other dogs, he can sometimes try to act like the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs, so confident canine companions are recommended.
