Joyful, social, and kind, Houston is a mixed-breed male puppy who is still growing into himself and learning about the world. What stands out immediately is how much he loves people. He is affectionate and deeply drawn to human connection, leaning in for attention, melting into touch, and lighting up the moment someone engages with him. Even small interactions bring him noticeable joy.
Like many young dogs with limited early exposure to home life, Houston is still learning everyday skills and how to regulate his puppy energy and emotions. He can be very exuberant at times, jumping up to greet people and struggling to settle when things are busy or exciting. He is also just beginning to learn how to navigate the human world outside of a kennel setting. He is building foundational life skills, but he is engaged, food-motivated, and eager to learn. Training with him is very relationship-based; he genuinely wants to participate and understand what is being asked of him. At his core, Houston is a bright, joyful dog who connects deeply with people. He is playful, expressive, and full of life, responding strongly to kindness and engagement. There is a clear and consistent eagerness in him to bond and be part of someone's world.

Houston will do best with a patient, committed adopter who understands that he is still learning and will need structure, consistency, and time to mature. He is highly relational and motivated to engage, making him well suited for continued training and growth. An active, engaged home willing to invest in his development will bring out the best in him.
