Lentil Lou is an absolute ray of sunshine, a loving little shepherd mix with the joyful spirit of an oversized puppy and a heart overflowing with affection. She's incredibly social, greeting everyone she meets with boundless happiness, and her playful enthusiasm is infectious. Lentil adores other dogs and thrives in their company, whether she's romping, wrestling, or simply enjoying downtime together. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of cuddly companion and playful goofball, guaranteed to bring laughter, fun, and a whole lot of love into your life. She's approximately 1 year old and weighs 48 lbs.
Ideal Home
Lentil Lou would thrive in a semi-active home with a family who enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a deeply affectionate companion. She would be happiest in a home with children 12 and older. A backyard would be ideal for her to stretch her legs and enjoy the sunshine.
Ongoing Health
Lentil Lou is a rescue and her breed and exact age are a mystery. She has received DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and is spayed. She is up-to-date on flea prevention and has received a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Lentil Lou is a smart and eager-to-please girl who is treat motivated. She already knows how to sit and is ready to learn more. She walks fairly nicely on a leash, occasionally pulling out of excitement, but responds well to gentle reminders. She is comfortable tandem walking with other dogs and is both crate trained and potty trained. Patience, consistency, and treats will make training with Lentil a rewarding experience.

Transporation
Lentil Lou is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
