Gus is a charming 1-year-old Dachshund Mix who's ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever home! He's a sweet boy who traveled all the way from Houston, Texas, where countless dogs like him need a second chance. By adopting Gus, you're directly helping to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.

Gus is up to date on his vaccinations and has been microchipped and received a rabies certificate.

Training & Support

As Gus is new to us, we are still learning about his specific needs and behaviors. More information will be available soon, but he's eager to learn and please his new family!

Transportation

Gus is currently located in Houston, Texas, and will be transported to Rhode Island in July 2026. He can be met at the following PetSmart locations:

• July, 2026 (10am-7pm) Friday: PetSmart, 1386 Atwood Ave #40, Johnston, RI 02919
• July, 2026 (9am-5pm) Saturday: PetSmart, 15 Dowling Village Blvd, North Smithfield RI 02896
• July, 2026 (10am-5pm) Sunday: PetSmart, 1386 Atwood Ave #40, Johnston, RI 02919

The adoption fee is $600, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, rabies certificate, and transport to Rhode Island. There is an additional $55 transport fee due to fuel costs.
