Smiley Wiley is a handsome, fluffy German Shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 65 lbs. He's an athletic, loyal, and adventurous companion who loves to give bear hugs! Wiley is great with other dogs and enjoys playful interactions like chase and wrestling. He can be a little nervous in new situations, so a confident canine companion would be a great addition to his home. Wiley is not a fan of cats. He thrives with confident leadership, responds well to structure, and bonds deeply with his person. He's smart, knows several commands like sit, down, and wait, and is very treat-motivated, though he'll listen even without a treat. He would make an excellent adventure partner for walks, hikes, or even runs. Wiley also has a calm side and enjoys relaxing with his favorite toy. He has experience with younger children and is tolerant of their movements but prefers the company of older children (15+) who understand his need for space.

Ideal Home

Wiley would do best in a home with a big backyard, a semi-active family who enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking or running, and who also appreciates quiet time. He would do best with another confident, playful dog. He is not a good fit for homes with cats. He would do best with 1-2 children ages 15 and up, though he is tolerant of younger children visiting occasionally.
