Malorie in FL

Malorie is a charming 5-year-old, 10.58 lb black and tan Dachshund with a smooth coat. She came to us pregnant but has since seen her puppies happily settled into their forever homes, and now it's her turn to find her perfect match! Malorie is a sweet girl who can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up and blossoms into a loving companion. She's not a couch potato; she enjoys walks and playtime, so she's looking for an active home.

Ideal Home

Malorie needs a home with a securely fenced yard, as Dachshunds do tend to bark. She would do well with another small, friendly adult dog, whether male or female. A home where someone can be present more often than not is ideal, and apartments, high-rises, or condos are not suitable due to her tendency to bark. She would be comfortable in a home with children aged 10 and up, but younger children make her too nervous. Malorie is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Malorie is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, has been spayed, and recently had a dental cleaning.

Training & Support

Malorie is house-trained and does very well when kept on a schedule. She is also crate-trained. She is currently working on leash training, and continued practice will help her master this skill.
