Hi there! I'm Astro, an 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix with a distinguished look that might make you think I'm all business, but I'm actually a big softie at heart! I take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I feel comfortable, I absolutely love receiving pets and scratches. I might even curl up on your lap! I'm a very smart pup and know a bunch of commands like sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, and let's go! I really enjoy showing off my skills, especially when there are treats involved. I also love going for walks and am a pro on the leash!

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home where I can be the only dog. I would also prefer a home without children or other small animals, as I can be protective. My ideal family would be familiar with breeds like Chows, as I can be strong.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, up to date on all my shots, and microchipped.

Training & Support

I am very food motivated and can sometimes be stubborn, especially when it comes to my food and toys. I've been known to guard them with a growl. I also don't like brushes or towels, and loud trucks can startle me. I do, however, enjoy chewing on my toys and sleeping in my crate. I also love agility and other forms of exercise!
