Rayla and her sister Felicia were rescued from a high-kill shelter as puppies and have been in foster care ever since. These two wonderful girls have had very little interest, and have spent the majority of their young lives in a foster home.

Public places can be a bit overwhelming and anxiety-inducing for Rayla, much like for many of us. She doesn't present herself well, or sometimes at all if she's feeling particularly timid, at adoption events. She can also be fearful around men. However, once she's back in her comfortable environment, her true personality shines through, and she becomes a completely different dog! She's incredibly appreciative, showing her affection with full-body wags and offering belly rubs. Rayla has a happy, upbeat vibe and a signature full-body wiggle that's sure to bring a smile to your face.

Ideal Home

Rayla would thrive in a home where she feels safe and comfortable. She can be timid and fearful with men, so a patient and understanding adopter would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Rayla has an old injury that happened when she was a puppy. The vets believe that to "fix" it would require invasive surgery or amputation, which could be more traumatic than necessary. While her leg looks a bit awkward, she doesn't appear to be in any pain and still uses it for stability when playing.
