Bailey Kay is a bright, affectionate girl who’s ready to find the loving home she deserves. She’s about 4–5 years old and currently 50 pounds, though she’s still a bit underweight and will thrive as she continues to gain healthy weight with regular meals and care. Bailey is great with other dogs and has wonderful social manners. She’ll happily go say hello and invite a dog to play—and if the other pup isn’t interested, she simply moves along and respects their space. If they do want to play, Bailey is all in and ready to start the fun! She’s never been to doggy daycare, but she has visited a friend’s house with multiple dogs and was the happy, playful one who took off running so the others could chase her.
Bailey is an active girl with a big zest for life. She loves long walks and she’s happiest when she has a yard to run in. Off-leash playtime makes her absolutely glow—she looks so joyful when she’s free to stretch her legs. And yes… she LOVES fetch, which is a great way to give her the exercise she craves. She’s also exceptionally smart. She already knows sit and come, and she’s working on stay. She’s also making great progress with her leash skills. Bailey didn’t know anything about walking on a leash when she first arrived, but with a halter she now does very well. She’s still learning how to walk nicely on just a collar and leash, but she’s smart and improving quickly. At home, Bailey is wonderfully affectionate and cuddly. Even though she has high playful energy outdoors, once she comes inside she’s happy to settle down and relax with you. She’s extraordinarily loving and will often place her paw on you like she’s holding your hand—her sweet way of staying connected and reassured. After spending months living on the streets, she’s still learning that she’s safe, and sometimes she asks for extra attention as reassurance. With a consistent routine and lots of love, she’ll continue to blossom. Bailey Kay is truly special, and the family who brings her home is going to be incredibly lucky. She’s looking for a home with love, structure, exercise, and a yard to run—and she’ll repay you with loyalty, cuddles, and a whole lot of joy.
Ideal Home
