Sillie Sammy

Sammy is a resilient and loving young boy who is the sole survivor of a litter of six puppies. Sadly, his siblings succumbed to Parvo due to irresponsible breeding and lack of vaccinations. Sammy, however, was sent to a local Animal ER for intensive care and bravely battled and overcame Parvo. He then went to a foster home where he was crate and house-trained. His foster family adopted him, but unfortunately, had to return him to the rescue after five months due to a change in their jobs. Despite his difficult start, Sammy is a very smart and affectionate dog who loves toys and is leash-trained. He even enjoys wearing a lifejacket and going out on boats!

Ideal Home

Sammy would thrive in a home with a large backyard where he can play with his family. He does not get along with cats, as one previously slapped him in the face, so a cat-free home is a must.

Ongoing Health

Sammy is up-to-date on all vaccinations, receives monthly heartworm prevention, is neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Sammy's foster family noted that he has separation anxiety. He is still very much a puppy and learning how to be a dog. With patience and consistent guidance, he will surely blossom into a well-adjusted companion.
