Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She has a loving heart and is house-trained, reliably doing her business in one designated area. Greta is also crate-trained, making her a well-mannered companion. When she first meets new people, Greta can be a bit shy and fearful, needing patience and kindness to feel safe. Once she gains confidence, her personality truly blossoms! She becomes super friendly, adores having her head petted, and will often offer her paw as a sweet thank-you. While Greta would thrive in a calm and peaceful home, she's still an active dog who enjoys running and moving around. She'd love a family that understands her need for both gentle reassurance and regular exercise.
Ideal Home
Greta would do best in a home with a fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue and provide a dog with protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. A high tolerance and patience for rescued pups are essential, as Greta is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Greta is spayed, up-to-date on DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, and has been Bordetella vaccinated. She is dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a 4DX test. Greta is currently on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Greta is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. Due to her shy nature with new people, patience and understanding are crucial for her adjustment period. Her past experiences may have left her with fears and anxieties, so building trust and a strong bond will take time.

- Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transportation
Greta is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. We offer door-to-door delivery for an additional $400 USD transport fee. Our transportation process includes scheduled trips 3-4 times a year with a partner transport company. Pets will have all necessary legal documents, including a transport contract, USDA health certificate, and health protocol certificates. We provide real-time updates through a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
