Coco is a beautiful, 2-year-old spayed Border Collie who weighs approximately 35 pounds. She's got all the traits you love about Border Collies: intelligent, quick to learn, energetic, affectionate, athletic, eager to please, and a loyal companion ready for any adventure. Coco has a strong work ethic and thrives when she has a job to do, whether it's playtime, learning new tricks, or just engaging with her people. Her world recently changed after the loss of her dad, who had her since she was a puppy. Now, her mom is looking for an active family to give Coco the fulfilling lifestyle she deserves. Coco is currently with a foster family and has shown herself to be incredibly smart and adaptable. In just a few days, she's learned to fetch, walk politely on a leash, come when called, sit, and wait at doorways. She's also discovered a love for swimming!

Ideal Home

Coco would do best as an only dog, or in a home with another dog she feels comfortable with. She needs a home that can provide ample daily exercise, stimulation, and engagement, ideally with a large, fenced yard. While she's had limited interaction with children, her loving personality suggests she'd be a good match for a home with older children. A swimming pool or other water access would be a bonus!

Ongoing Health

Coco is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, on monthly prevention for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and has been dewormed.

Training & Support

Coco is high-energy and can be focused and intense during play, but she also enjoys quiet one-on-one time. While she's making progress with her doggie social skills, she's not ready for dog parks at this time. She'll need an owner who is experienced with the breed and excited to continue her socialization and introduce her to new experiences.
