Merlot

Merlot is a funny, joyful, and playful boy who was born on October 29, 2022. He loves to play with other dogs, but can be a bit boisterous, so his ideal canine companions would be tolerant of his enthusiastic play style. Merlot is doing well with crate training and is learning basic commands like "sit" and leash walking. He's also made great progress with standing for grooming, though he does best with patient, shorter grooming sessions. This means he'd do well with a skilled groomer or someone who can groom him at home over multiple sessions. Merlot is a happy dog who is eager to find his forever family!

Ideal Home

Merlot requires a securely and visibly fenced yard, with a fence that connects to the house and excludes driveway and car access. Shock or electronic fences will not be approved. Homes without children are preferred, and apartments or condos will not be considered.

Ongoing Health

Merlot is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.

Training & Support

Merlot is learning basic commands and leash walking. He needs patience and short sessions when it comes to grooming.

Transporation

Merlot is currently in foster care in Poulsbo, WA. Meet and greets will take place there. Transport may be available within Western Washington and possibly Northern Oregon.
