Meet Leo! Leo is a roughly 1-year-old, 20-pound Dachshund mix who is a true charmer. He arrived with a mysterious past, but his joyful demeanor and sweet smile speak volumes about his optimistic outlook on life. Leo is warm with people and gets along well with other dogs, approaching new situations with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. He's a handsome boy, built like a Dachshund with the movement of a hound, and he carries himself with confidence. Leo is ready to bring his whole heart to his new home!

Ideal Home

Leo would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow.

Ongoing Health

Leo is up-to-date on all his vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, and bordetella), has been spayed/neutered, and is microchipped. He has tested negative for heartworm disease and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Leo will need some continued guidance with house training, leash manners, and basic obedience. Dachshunds and hounds are known for their intelligence and spirited personalities, so a consistent and patient approach, filled with lots of positive reinforcement, will help Leo succeed.

Transporation

Leo is arriving in Lower Manhattan on July 18th. If you are outside of the boroughs, you must be willing to transport to NYC for veterinary care and adoption events.
