Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, a sweet and loyal Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix with an estimated birthday of May 14, 2023. I weigh about 38lbs and I'm searching for my forever family! I was rescued from a gas station and have been so grateful for the second chance at life. My foster family describes me as having a gentle soul and a heart full of love. I'm a wonderful house guest – I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and I thrive on a good routine. I'm also a smart cookie and very food-motivated, which makes learning new things extra fun, especially if there are treats involved!
What I love most is being with my people. Whether we're out for a walk, running errands, or just chilling at home, my happiest place is right by your side. I have a playful side, but I'm equally content to snuggle up and enjoy a quiet evening together. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a bit timid, but with patience and love, I've gained so much confidence. Discovering how wonderful life can be in a safe and loving environment has been amazing!
Ideal Home
I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new furry friends. Sometimes larger dogs can feel a bit overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands and can help me feel comfortable.

Transporation
I am located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in my adoption fee and can take me to your state or a neighboring state. Please be aware that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary. We coordinate with third-party ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates along the way. Facebook chats are also available for transport tracking.
