Handsome, intelligent, and full of potential, Arlo is looking for a special person who can help him discover that the world isn't quite as scary as he thinks it is.

While Arlo may look like a confident young dog, he's actually a sensitive boy who can be fearful in new situations and around unfamiliar people. When he's feeling overwhelmed, he lets you know by barking and creating space, so he's looking for an adopter who understands fearful dogs and is committed to helping him build confidence through patience, positive reinforcement, and trust.

Once Arlo feels safe, his playful, affectionate personality shines. He's a smart young dog who enjoys learning and already knows several cues, including sit, down, wait, touch, and look. He's also crate trained, potty trained, and rings bells at the door when he needs to go outside!

Arlo is looking for a quiet home in a peaceful neighborhood and is not a good fit for apartment living or busy environments. A home with a yard or access to quiet walking areas would help him feel his best.

He also enjoys the company of well-matched dogs and may thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show him that new experiences aren't so scary.

Arlo has his whole future ahead of him, and with an experienced adopter, a calm environment, and time to settle in at his own pace, we believe he'll blossom into an incredible companion.
