Hello there! I'm Rose Lavelle, a pup with a flair for the dramatic, just like my soccer star namesake. I've got creativity and a surprising amount of power packed into my little body! I absolutely adore playing with balls and tug toys, and I even have a knack for surprising the resident dog in my foster home. I'm a quick learner and I'm working hard on mastering leash manners – I tend to walk very close, so you'll need to watch your step! Potty training is going swimmingly, and I've even started ringing the doorbells to let my foster mom know when I need to go out. My crate is my safe haven, especially when covered with a blanket, and I sleep most of the night, though I might need a potty break in the middle of the night as I'm still a baby. I'm a brave girl and stay in my crate when my foster mom leaves, knowing it's for my own good.
I currently share my home with a wonderful foster mom, a friendly dog named Mr. Ted, and a rabbit. I also have a blast playing with my foster mom's grandkids, though I need gentle supervision as they are quite young and I'm still learning how to interact safely with them. My foster mom is teaching me all sorts of fun things, from leash walking and pottying outside to sitting for attention. I love exploring new things, whether it's walking on unusual surfaces, navigating tunnels, or even tickling the ivories on a piano! One of my special qualities is that I'm deaf, but this truly doesn't hold me back. I learn wonderfully through body language and hand signals, and a gentle touch on my behind is all it takes to get my attention. If I'm a bit too far away for a pat, a stomp on the floor will have me running right to you! I have an abundance of love to give, and I'm eager to share it with my forever family.
Ideal Home
A home that understands and embraces my unique way of communicating, and is patient as I continue to learn and grow. Due to my young age and developing understanding of gentle play, I cannot be left unsupervised with very young children.
Ongoing Health
I am deaf, but this does not impede my ability to learn and be a wonderful companion.
Training & Support
I am working on leash manners and potty training, and am showing great progress. I respond wonderfully to hand signals and gentle physical cues.
