Buddy

Meet Buddy, a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he's comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature truly comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained – in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open.

Ideal Home

Buddy would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don't know how he is with cats.

Training & Support

Buddy is house-trained and crate-trained. He does well on a leash. He comes with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org, which includes access to trainers/behaviorists and online materials.
