Meet Mac! This handsome 3.5-year-old, 40 lb neutered hound mix is a true people-pleaser and enjoys the company of other dogs. Originally from Caddo Parish Shelter in Louisiana, he’s been thriving in foster care in the PNW since October 2024. Mac is a sensitive, affectionate soul who loves to snuggle, and his absolute favorite thing in the world is ear scratches. While he's not a full-send hound, he's got just enough hound in him to get vocal when he has a case of FOMO. He's a fetch enthusiast and excels at returning the ball, showcasing his intelligence and playful side.
Ideal Home
Mac would do best with an even-keeled adopter who can read canine body language and respond calmly, as he has shown some defensive behaviors in loud or high-pressure situations.

Mac has made huge strides in confidence and training thanks to his foster and To the Point Dog Training. He is a sensitive boy who can be vocal with FOMO and may show defensive behaviors in high-pressure situations. - Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration.
- Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
- Adoption also includes take-home training and support with To the Point Dog Training in Tacoma.
- All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
Transporation
Mac is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area and has been in foster care in the greater Seattle area.
