Sadie is a beautiful 3-year-old Terrier/Border Collie mix who is patiently waiting for her forever family. She was recently in a foster home where she proved to be a remarkably low-maintenance companion. Sadie is a professional when it comes to being a great housemate – she had zero accidents, is wonderfully calm, and knows how to give you your space while still being a devoted shadow. She's not a constant "velcro" dog, but she does enjoy finding a comfy spot nearby to keep an eye on you. Her observant and alert nature also makes her a fantastic guard and alert dog for her family.
Sadie is a crate queen, happily settling in for the night without any fuss. She's also a dream on walks, never pulling or causing chaos. This clever girl is highly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze – you can see her impressive focus in her foster video!
Ideal Home
Sadie would do best in a home with children ages 5 and up who can understand and respect her independent nature. She enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly males, and while she's social, she sometimes likes to be the "boss" of the pack. She'd thrive in a household that appreciates a calm, chill dog who offers loyalty without needing constant physical affection.
Ongoing Health
Sadie is heartworm positive. She is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. A health certificate, exam, and fecal test will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport.
Training & Support
Sadie is very food-motivated, which is a great asset for continued training.
