About Knox

When Knox was a puppy, we noticed he looked like a little old man, and for a German Shepherd mix, he was vertically challenged. But his personality more than made up for his size! He was very proud to be a small dog. Knox found a home with another small dog, and they were good friends. Unfortunately, when his family returned to work after COVID, Knox developed separation anxiety. He was returned to us with a promise that we'd find him a home that would be his forever.

Knox is still proud to be a small dog, even if he has to walk under the bigger dogs. Don't let his short legs fool you; this "old soul" is fast and can keep up with many dogs his size. Knox loves people and other dogs. He thrives in a calm environment and will try to manage any chaos if his people don't. He's been known to correct other dogs occasionally. He loves to chase balls and toys, and he loves to be by your side. He enjoys his doggie bed and is okay in his crate as long as he's not alone. And did we mention he loves his people?

Ideal Home

Knox would do best in a home that can help him with his separation anxiety and loves him as much as he will love them. Another dog would be a good companion, as long as they aren't overly bossy. He'd love a "girlfriend" dog and enjoys going for walks and people-watching.

Knox is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
