Gizmo

Gizmo is a delightful senior gentleman who is approximately 17 years young and weighs around 22 lbs. He was found as a stray and has since received excellent care, including medication for seizures, treatment for a double ear infection, and the removal of all his teeth. Despite his past, Gizmo is a sweet, quiet, and loving companion. He's already shown he can get along with cats and would likely do well with other calm dogs.

Ideal Home

Gizmo is a sensitive soul and may thrive best in a home without children, as he can experience some anxiety. He uses potty pads but may have occasional accidents, so a patient and understanding environment is key.

Ongoing Health

Gizmo is on medication for seizures, which costs about $13 per month. He is also working on recovering from a past skin infection, and his fur is growing back well. Weekly medicated baths are recommended to continue his skin's health. Due to a collapsed trachea, he needs to wear a harness on his walks. He's also a bit overweight and is currently on a diet food. Since he has no teeth left, he will need to be fed canned food.

Training & Support

Gizmo is already doing well with potty pads and enjoys his walks. He's a great boy who still has a spark of mischief and enjoys car rides. Continuing his positive reinforcement and providing a stable routine will help him feel secure.
