Rico

Rico is a handsome, sweet, and eager-to-please boy who was born in October 2024 and weighs about 65 lbs. He’s still learning his strength and is currently walked with a gentle leader and a backup leash, but he rests nicely in his crate and is an easy boy overall with minimal training needs. Rico was rescued from the Nash County shelter and is ready for his second chance at a happy life.

Ideal Home

Rico gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys meeting new people, especially if treats are involved, though he can be a bit shy with strangers initially. He may be reactive when he sees new or wild animals, so a home where this can be managed would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Rico is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment, fully covered by the rescue. He is otherwise healthy, has been fully vetted, and is neutered.

Training & Support

Rico is learning commands and rests nicely in his crate. He is an easy boy overall and doesn't require much work.
