Johnny

Meet Johnny! This handsome and smart boy is officially ready to find his forever people, and he has so much love to give. Johnny is an absolute gem, but like all of us, he comes with his own little quirks. He is a bit of a foodie and prefers not to share his meals or high-value treats. Because of this, he's looking for a family that understands boundaries and is happy to feed him safely in his own separate space and is ready to continue working on positive reinforcement training with him. Johnny knows how to take himself outside through a doggie door when it's time to go, and he is an easy car rider who loves adventure.

Ideal Home

An adopter experienced with or willing to learn about managing resource guarding. A home without super young children who might not understand boundaries around mealtime. Someone dedicated to routine, structure, and lots of love, who won't put Johnny outside on a chain when things get tough. We do not adopt out dogs to be outside pets.

Ongoing Health

Johnny is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Johnny practices a bit of resource guarding around his food. We are looking for a family that can continue working on positive reinforcement training with him and manage his feeding in a safe, separate space.
