About Oreo (great with kids, calm, house trained, cuddly, friendly)

Oreo is a sweet and cuddly girl who will greet you at the door with a wagging tail and a toy in her mouth. After 10 months in a shelter, she underwent heartworm treatment and is now ready for her forever home. She absolutely adores the 19-month-old toddler in her foster home and gets along well with her male boxer foster brother, who shows her the ropes. Oreo hasn't met a human she doesn't like and yearns for love. She'll make you smile with her tail thumping on the couch, her playful antics with toys, and her gentle pawing for belly rubs. She loves her stuffies and enjoys a game of fetch. Oreo also loves water and will be the first to jump into a kiddie pool. While she gets along with her foster doggy brother, she can be vocal when she sees other dogs on walks. This is a work in progress, and if her forever home includes another dog, it would be best if they are a laid-back male who doesn't take her barking too seriously. Oreo is also house-trained and can be left alone without chewing or scratching. She has waited far too long and truly deserves a loving home. If you're ready for a best friend who's up for adventure or cuddles, Oreo is your girl!

Ideal Home

Oreo would do best in a home with a laid-back male dog who can tolerate her barking during introductions.

Ongoing Health

Training & Support

Oreo is house-trained and does not exhibit destructive behavior when left alone. She is working on being less vocal towards other dogs on walks.
