Dolly

Meet Dolly! This gentle and friendly female Great Pyrenees was born around February of 2023 and is a healthy 60 pounds. Dolly was found surviving on her own, emaciated and distrusting of humans. She has made wonderful progress in foster care and now loves indoor living, attention from her people, and her coat is coming back beautifully. Dolly thrives in the company of both people and other dogs. She can be a bit shy with new people, especially men, so she may need a little time to warm up to her new family. With patient and loving care, she'll become relaxed and comfortable just as she has in her foster home.

Ideal Home

Dolly would love a home where she can enjoy lounging around. She thrives in the company of other dogs and loves to romp and play with them. She gets anxious when left alone, so a home with another dog would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Dolly is healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. She is spayed.

Training & Support

Dolly is house-trained and listens well when called, especially if she sees other dogs going inside. She may bark at strangers or loud noises when outside. She is leash-trained and enjoys walks. Dolly is not crate-trained and experiences anxiety when confined, so crates should be avoided. She does well if left at home with another dog.

Transportation

Dolly is currently in a foster home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Texas. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
