He came to us after his previous owner could no longer keep him, and it’s clear this change has been a big adjustment—he’s likely never been away from home before. Though he may be shy at first, Bones is incredibly sweet and just needs a little time and patience to feel safe. Once he begins to trust you, his soft, loving personality starts to shine through. He’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and will be a loyal, steady companion. Bones is a large breed boy, but he’s hoping for a primarily indoor home where he can feel secure and be close to his people. He has done well with other dogs and children, making him a wonderful candidate for a family willing to give him the time he needs to settle in. With a calm environment, gentle reassurance, and a little understanding, Bones will blossom into an amazing best friend.
