Bandit is a 7-month-old husky puppy who came to us as an owner surrender. She was part of an accidental litter and previously lived outdoors with her parents, littermates, and other large breed dogs. Despite her limited prior experiences, Bandit is a very social and silly pup who loves to play and zoom around! She's also shown to be playful and curious when meeting other dogs, even those smaller than her. A home with other dogs could be a great fit for Bandit, provided they have a successful meet and greet at the shelter. She has experience with children. Due to her observed prey drive, a home without felines or small animals is recommended. Bandit is looking for an adventure buddy to share her life with! She is currently available for pre-adoption and can go home after her spay surgery. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is excited to offer "Pawsitivity Bucks" with every dog adoption – a $200 training voucher to help you and your new canine companion connect with local positive reinforcement trainers.
Ideal Home
Bandit would thrive in a home that can keep up with her energy and provide her with plenty of opportunities for play and adventure. A home with other dogs may be a good fit with a successful meet and greet. A home without felines or small animals is recommended due to observed prey drive.
Ongoing Health
Bandit will be spayed prior to adoption.
