Honey

Honey is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old female dog who is sure to steal your heart! She's a gorgeous girl with loving eyes and a resilient spirit, who was found abandoned in a dusty Baja town. Honey is curious, smart, and loves to play, especially fetching! She's well-behaved, listens well to strong leadership, and knows basic commands. She enjoys long walks and can strut her stuff right by your side.

Ideal Home

Honey would do well as a single dog in a home with adults or a family with grown children who will provide strong leadership. Her enthusiasm and energy might be a bit much for young children. She could also live happily with another dog, provided introductions are done slowly and supervised. She seems to prefer passive female playmates and doesn't like to be bullied by other dogs, but she does love puppies.

Ongoing Health

Honey was treated for tick fever and has been cleared by the vet. She will receive a full medical assessment before leaving Cortez Rescue to ensure she is in optimum health.

Training & Support

Honey has completed training school and is described as obedient and focused. She is playful and independent. She will benefit from a home that provides lots of love and activities. Supervised introductions and playdates with other dogs are recommended.
