Lyra

Lyra is a resilient and loving female dog who came to us after a difficult start in life. She was found abandoned in a burned-down residence and spent over a month fending for herself on an abandoned property until a kind citizen discovered her. Despite being emaciated and covered in fleas, Lyra was surprisingly alive and in good spirits. With plenty of TLC, baths, and medication, she has made a full recovery and is ready to find her forever home. She's been with us for nearly two years and is hoping her perfect person will finally see her and say, "That's my girl."

Ideal Home

Lyra would be the perfect companion for a quiet country home. She adores people and would do wonderfully in a home with children. All Lyra craves is attention and would thrive in an environment where she can be the center of your world. She does not get along with other animals.

Ongoing Health

Lyra has made a full recovery from her initial health issues.

Training & Support

Lyra is house-trained. She loves to run and go for walks, and has a surprising amount of energy for an older dog. She enjoys playing with stuffies and any toy she can get her mouth on.
