🌿 Meet Lessie — Sensitive Soul Seeking Safety 🌿

Lessie was abandoned and tied to the fence at our shelter in Mexico. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s gentle with other dogs and loves their company. The shelter is loud and overwhelming for her. She’s an insecure, nervous girl who needs a patient, experienced person to help her feel safe again.

Lessie’s ideal home: • Quiet, calm, and predictable • Teens or adults only • A big yard, ranch, or someone who hikes trails • Someone who understands she isn’t ready for leash walks • A home with another friendly dog would be a bonus • Fully potty trained in foster, may need a refresher in a new routine • Loves the beach and outdoor time

Lessie has so much potential — she just needs the right person to help her bloom. If you’re patient, kind, and ready to give a scared dog a real chance, Lessie is waiting.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

⚠️ It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border — this remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward. 🐾✈️❤️
