Summer Smiles The Sunshine Girl

Summer Smiles is a 4-year-old, 45 lb German Shepherd mix who is the epitome of a social butterfly! She's incredibly friendly, smart, and will be your personal cheerleader, always bringing a smile to your face. She's the perfect petite size – not too big, not too small, just right! Summer is a rescue, so her exact breed and age are a mystery, but her happy-go-lucky personality shines through. She adores everyone she meets and forms instant connections. Summer is also very dog-friendly and loves to play and relax with other dogs of all temperaments. She even showed a calm and respectful demeanor around a resident cat, and we can arrange a cat sleepover to ensure a good fit for your feline friend.

Ideal Home

Summer would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can play and sunbathe, but she can also do well in an apartment or condo. She loves being the center of attention and would be happiest in a home where she can be part of the family's social life, like backyard BBQs. Summer also adores children and has a special bond with a 7-year-old, making her a wonderful family dog.

Ongoing Health

Summer has no known health conditions. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Summer is a treat-motivated learner and already knows how to sit on command. She walks well on a leash and is crate and potty trained. She'll be a fantastic companion for hikes, park visits, or beach trips.

Summer is currently in Houston, Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
