Tuxedo here, with important news. . . I have officially graduated from the Pups for Parole training program with flying colors! I'm a 2 & 1/2-year-old, 50-ish-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix boy who is happy-go-lucky, goofy, playful, and extremely smart. I'm well-trained and ready to find my forever family. I am house trained, crate trained, and do well on a leash, though I do still pull a bit at first. I think cats are dumb, so none of those, please. I love people! However, my high energy may be a little too much for tiny kids. I'd prefer them on the playful, sturdy side, like me. My handlers at P4P taught me SO many skills and commands. Some examples are: Get the door, Shake, High-five, Roll over, Stay, Place, Give, Drop, Leave it, Focus, Heel, Touch, and Down. While there, I met and played with lots of other dogs. I'm a little wary of new dogs and people and situations at first, but with slow, proper intros, I will gain confidence and be fine in a matter of minutes. I LOVE to play with toys, and I have LOTS of energy, so I would love to be part of an active family that will take me on adventures to dog-friendly places. Of course, I'll need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I'll learn!
Ideal Home
A fenced yard to run and play in would be ideal for me. However, I might be okay living without a fence or even in an apartment as long as I get plenty of play time, daily walks, and opportunities to run and play off leash on a regular basis. I do not want to live with cats. My high energy may be a little too much for tiny kids.
