Sophia

Sophia is a beautiful beagle mix who is blossoming with love and patience. She's a shy girl who is learning to trust humans after a difficult start in life. Sophia is reserved but curious, always investigating new things with her nose. She absolutely adores being outdoors, sniffing and exploring to her heart's content. Sophia also enjoys the company of other dogs, playing with them and learning from their confidence. She's made incredible progress, showing she can handle car rides and even overnight stays in a home, proving her resilience and capacity for love.

Ideal Home

Sophia needs a home with a confident, resident dog who can be her furry mentor. She thrives with canine companionship and looks to other dogs for reassurance. While she's not yet comfortable with strangers, her trust is growing, so a patient adopter who understands that healing is a journey is essential. Homes with a securely fenced yard are ideal, as she loves to explore the outdoors.

Sophia is a healthy girl who has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Sophia is still learning house-training and may have accidents on rugs or mats, though she's responding well to a consistent schedule and frequent potty breaks. She also experienced some stress when crated initially, preferring her caregiver nearby to feel secure. With patience, positive reinforcement, and a routine, Sophia will continue to learn. She is still learning what is and isn't a chew toy, so providing her with appropriate outlets for chewing is important.
