Cornbread

Meet Cornbread! This energetic and loving 3-month-old puppy is already a substantial pup, mirroring his petite mom who weighs around 12 pounds. Cornbread and his mother were found at the Weslaco shelter in South Texas, and while his father's identity is unknown, Cornbread's impressive size suggests a larger breed might be in his lineage. Despite his young age, Cornbread is growing rapidly and is an absolute sweetheart. He's currently thriving in a loving foster home, excelling at basic training and enjoying all the affection he can get.

Ideal Home

Cornbread would do wonderfully in a family with children or an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, structure, and affection for a growing puppy.

Ongoing Health

Cornbread is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and has been regularly de-wormed. He has also undergone spay/neuter surgery and received a microchip. As with all dogs adopted from our rescue, potential adopters should familiarize themselves with Chagas disease, which is endemic in the southern states.

Training & Support

Cornbread is doing great with basics in his foster home and is eager to continue learning with his forever family.
