Meet Nina, also known as Miss Buttered Roll! This adorable 2-year-old pup is as squishy and lovable as her nickname suggests. Nina might just be a stuffed animal come to life, with her floppy ears, soulful eyes, and irresistible rolls. She's a mixed breed, possibly with hints of hound, boxer, or beagle, but whatever her heritage, she's absolutely perfect. Nina's foster family adores her, and it's easy to see why. All she wants is to love and be loved in return, which she does with charming devotion. She's a "respectful Velcro dog," happy to follow you around and settle nearby while you go about your day. Her caramel coat and white markings are accented by delightful, squishy rolls that make you want to squeeze her. When Nina gets excited, her whole body wiggles with happiness!
Ideal Home
Nina enjoys the company of other dogs and is playful and social, though she can sometimes be a bit of a supervisor. She does best with thoughtful introductions and dogs who appreciate her gentle leadership. A calmer canine companion would be a great fit, or she would also be perfectly content as the sole canine in the household. Nina can get excited and vocal when she sees other dogs on leash, so we'd prefer a home environment over apartment living where she might frequently encounter unfamiliar dogs in close quarters. While Nina's cat testing was inconclusive, she showed polite curiosity and walked away on her own. Additional testing can be arranged for families with feline friends. Based on her affectionate and gentle nature, Nina has the potential to be a wonderful family dog, and kid testing can be arranged for interested adopters.
Ongoing Health
Nina is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. She has been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Nina can get excited and pull on the leash when she sees other dogs, but she calms down after proper introductions. She would benefit from a home environment that allows her space to decompress from city or apartment living.

Transporation
Nina is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
