Davey

Davey is a resilient and loving Bulldog mix who found himself stray in Georgia. He was discovered in poor condition, underweight and battling fleas, ticks, anemia, and worms. Miraculously, he survived an incident where a bullet grazed his ear, a constant reminder of his past struggles. Despite his hardships, Davey has blossomed into a friendly and affectionate dog who adores people. He's a smart boy who knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake," and he's also crate and appears to be house-trained. While he enjoys the company of people, his interactions with other dogs have been mixed, showing some aggression towards larger breeds. For this reason, it's best to consider him as the sole canine companion in his new home. He also does not do well with cats. Davey is a strong walker and can get excited by loud noises, so a calm environment would be ideal for him. This sweet boy is ready to find his forever family and be your loyal best friend.

Ideal Home

A calm and loving home without a lot of commotion. Davey may do best as the only dog in the household and is not suited for a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Davey has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, de-wormings, and monthly preventative care. He has a permanent hole in his ear from a past injury. He may need a refresher course in house training once settled in a new home.

Training & Support

Davey is crate trained and appears to be house trained. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake." He can become excited around raised voices and may need gentle guidance to remain calm in a busy environment.
