Meet Mickey Sterling- Conchshell Newfoundlands. Conchshell Newfoundlands (Mickey Sterling has owned NEWFS since the late 1970's. ) has homes in Georgia and Florida and breeds Newfoundlands. Mickey's number one love and priority in life are Newfoundlands. She loves them all, but has particular affinity to her own purposely bred family of Newfoundlands. Mickey's life revolves around the love, care, training, and exhibiting of her dogs. Mickey has had Newfoundlands in her life for over 3 decades, and she began breeding Newfoundlands in 2008. Mickey carries the distinction of being awarded the recognition of the AKC as a BREEDER OF MERIT. Mickey is a member of the Newfoundland Club of Florida, she is a member of an All Breed Club where she has held elected leadership positions. Mickey has served as rescue contact person for Newfoundlands. When Mickey breeds a litter, she commits herself to each puppy for their entire life. For the FOREVER families to which her puppies go, Mickey provides 24/7 availability to answer questions and discuss concerns. In addition, for the life of the pup, Mickey provides loving care when families need to be away from their pup so the pup will not have to be boarded. The health of her Newfoundlands is paramount! . Prospective families can go to the OFA website and see not only the health status of the pup's parents, but also the results of ALL health tests on most EVERY PUP that Mickey has EVER bred. This gives transparency for prospective families to review the health of pups bred. In addition, a written contract is signed by the breeders and the prospective family that spells out explicit expectations for the life of the puppy.
