Scotty Smalls, a roughly 1-year-old, 46 lb pittie mix, is a squishy, goofy, and utterly adorable companion. He's incredibly dog-friendly and affectionate, with a playful, puppy-like spirit that makes him a joy to be around. Scotty loves toys, enjoys backyard adventures, and is eager to please, making him a fantastic candidate for continued training. He's smart, knows basic commands, and is already crate-trained and nearly house-trained, though he may have occasional accidents as he continues to learn.
Ideal Home
Scotty would thrive in a semi-active home with a backyard, as he loves exploring outdoors. He would do best with kids aged 12 and up who can match his playful energy. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. His ideal doggy playmate would be a playful female who enjoys wrestling and chasing.
Ongoing Health
Scotty is a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, he has received all necessary vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and he has been spayed/neutered.
Training & Support
Scotty is a quick learner and eager to please. He walks fairly well on a leash, though he can pull a bit with excitement initially. Consistent routine and practice will help him master leash manners. While he's mostly clean indoors, he may have occasional accidents as he's still learning, so he benefits from frequent potty breaks.

Transportation
Scotty is currently in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies for transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
