Meet Sweet Soul Frenchies. Heather Harden is from Texas and breeds French Bulldogs. Sweet Soul Frechies was founded in 2020 during the pandemic. During such an unnerving and uncertain time in the world's history I saw people around me, myself included, struggle with daily happiness. So I started searching for sources of happiness. No matter what was happening in the world at that moment, I noticed that people with animals were able to hold on to sparks of joy and happiness regardless of what was going on in the world. We have always been a dog loving family and have always owned dogs. So I thought, if animals can keep people feeling that happiness when times are grim, I want to be a part of spreading that happiness and feeling. French Bulldogs just kept popping up for me. No matter where I looked, there was a sweet, smushed face looking right back at me. I did a full year of research on the breed from talking to established breeders to talking to Veterinarians and getting very comfortable with the traits and history of the breed. And then, just like that, I found my two founding members of Sweet Soul Frenchies, Ms. Lola and Mr. Cash. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
