Bear is a handsome, confident, and enthusiastic guy estimated to be just over 1 year old and weighing around 60 lbs. He's likely a pittie mix, but as with all rescues, his breed and exact age are our best guess. Bear is eager to learn and respond to training, especially with his treat motivation! He absolutely loves people and soaks up attention, happily joining in on whatever you're doing or simply lounging nearby. He comes with pre-programmed skills too, as he is already house and crate trained.
Ideal Home
Bear would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. He has shown potential to live peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident cat with slow introductions. He thrives in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy boy with no ongoing health conditions noted.
Training & Support
Bear is still in his puppy phase, so he'll need continued guidance with leash walking, especially around other dogs, and managing his excitement. While he can be a bit pushy in play, he has shown he can be respectful once he gets to know other dogs, as demonstrated with a chihuahua in his foster home. He responds well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are great for his brain!
