Meet Kay Kay — short for Kangaroo Kevin! 🦘💛 She's a young, 25–30 pound female Kelpie mix who lives up to her nickname with her energetic and bouncy personality. Kay Kay loves to play with her dog friends, zoom around the backyard, and chew on her Benebone. She's house-trained, kennel-trained, and gets along well with both dogs and cats. While she's sweet, playful, and affectionate, she is still learning boundaries and is not recommended for homes with young children. Kay Kay thrives in a home with a backyard to run in and another dog to play with. She can be a little nervous in busy public places, so she'll need a patient adopter who can help her build confidence in the outside world. She recently completed her heartworm injections and is ready for her forever home.
Ideal Home
Kay Kay would be happiest in a home with a large, fenced backyard and another playful dog to be her buddy. She needs a family who appreciates an energetic and loving pup. Due to her herding breed nature and need to learn boundaries, she is not recommended for homes with young children.
Ongoing Health
Kay Kay recently completed her heartworm injections. All dogs are vetted by a licensed veterinarian, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped before adoption.
Training & Support
Kay Kay is house-trained and kennel-trained. She is still learning boundaries and can be nervous in busy public places. She would benefit from an adopter who understands she is still building confidence.
