Tygrys

Meet Tyg, a 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix with a heart of gold! Tyg has been with us longer than we'd like to admit, but he's a volunteer favorite who showers his trusted humans with affection. Once he bonds with you, he's a 100-pound teddy bear who loves nothing more than snuggles and hugs. He's a fantastic swimmer and enjoys a good walk, though he can be a bit reactive to large vehicles. Tyg is a loyal and protective boy who will fill your life with love.

Ideal Home

Tyg would thrive in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands his protective nature. He would do best as the only pet and with no children in the household. A large, fenced yard would be ideal for him to patrol, and a home with few outside visitors would help him feel most secure.

Ongoing Health

Tyg is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Tyg is well-trained on the leash but may lunge at large trucks and vans, requiring a confident handler. Our trainers are committed to educating his future family on how to best manage and support a dog of his breed and temperament.
