Hector was found wandering the streets of the Houston area as a young puppy, all alone and trying to survive. Thankfully, he was rescued and is now safe with a loving foster family, learning what it means to be cherished while he waits for his forever home. Hector is a handsome boy, believed to be a Standard Schnauzer, around 5 months old and weighing about 35 pounds. He's up-to-date on vaccines and has already mastered house and kennel training. He's also a fantastic companion, doing great with children, other dogs, and cats. Hector walks well on a leash and rides calmly in the car, making him ready for adventures with his new family! Standard Schnauzers are intelligent, loyal, and devoted dogs who thrive on being part of their family's activities. They are playful, athletic, and eager to learn, making them wonderful companions for active households. Their intelligence means they benefit greatly from positive training, daily exercise, and plenty of interaction with their humans. They truly love being an involved member of the family!
Ideal Home
Hector would do best with a family that enjoys spending quality time together and is enthusiastic about helping him continue to build confidence and good manners. His ideal family will include him in everyday life, provide daily walks and playtime, enjoy training and teaching him new things, and shower him with plenty of love, structure, and attention. He's ready to grow into a loyal lifelong companion for a loving home.

Training & Support
Hector is already house-trained and kennel-trained. He walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. As he is still a puppy, continued positive training and socialization will be beneficial.
