Freckles

Freckles is a wiggly and affectionate Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who is happiest by your side, whether you're strolling through town or heading out for a mountain adventure. He walks nicely on leash and has a good recall. Freckles loves his people and is as loyal as most ACDs will be once he knows you. He has, however, lost some confidence with new people in public places, but has done very well in both of his foster homes. Freckles is making great progress and just needs someone who can make him feel heard, understood, and safe. He gets along well with most other dogs and would thrive in an active home where he can stretch his legs and be part of the action. Cats are not his thing. He may be a smaller pup, but his personality is as big as the mountains around us.

Training & Support

Freckles can be nippy when overstimulated, sometimes when he doesn't want you to leave or when he wants to play. He needs a patient person who can help him feel heard, understood, and safe.
