Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs 48 lbs. Cookie is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family dog. While she can be a little nervous in new situations, with patience and kindness, she quickly settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the world go by, especially from a car window or a cozy spot at home. Cookie was born in challenging conditions but has blossomed into a resilient and loving dog ready for her forever home.
Ideal Home
We are looking for a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has received a spay/neuter surgery, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She has also tested negative for heartworm and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not yet house-trained. We are unable to provide individual house-training for all our fostered animals due to the number of pets in our care. Adopters will need to be prepared to work on this.

- The adoption process includes an online application, a phone/email interview, a home check, a virtual meet-and-greet, and a trial adoption period.
- The adoption fee is finalized prior to transport and includes spay/neuter, complete vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, and health certificate.
- A transport fee of $400.00 is also required and payable by the adopter prior to departure.
Transporation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest.
