Cowboy

Cowboy is a resilient survivor, approximately 2 years old, with a past marked by unimaginable cruelty. He was tragically used as a bait dog, enduring severe physical and emotional trauma before being abandoned. Despite his horrific experiences, Cowboy has shown incredible bravery and is now safe and receiving the care he deserves. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has begun treatment for heartworm. While he is cautious with other dogs and takes time to warm up to men, his journey is one of incredible strength and a deep desire for a loving home.

Ideal Home

Cowboy may do best as an only dog, where he can feel secure and build trust at his own pace. He needs a patient and understanding family who can help him continue to overcome his past trauma.

Ongoing Health

Cowboy is heartworm positive and has begun treatment. He is otherwise up to date on vaccines and neutered.

Training & Support

Cowboy requires patience, especially with men, due to his past. He needs a consistent and loving environment to help him feel safe and build confidence.
